“So I did.” – 360 Brand Campaign

The drive to do is in each of us. Finding it gives us the strength to cross the divide between doubts and dreams—venturing from “I can’t” to “I did.”  We just need a little encouragement to get started.

That’s where “So I did” came in.

I helped MACLYN build the campaign from the ground up, crafting powerful narratives that got the Special Olympics Illinois community fired up and ready to join in on the action. “So I did” quickly became their mantra, with athletes and supporters adopting it and giving it a life of its own.

Campaign Launch

Like Special Olympics Illinois athletes, “So I did” is not timid or reserved. It’s a bold, resolute campaign that demands respect, but with humility. To embody this, we needed to make a big impression. So, we went all in.

Paired with an innovative new visual identity, my copy helped thrust “So I did” into the spotlight—all across the state.

Celebrity Partnership – Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears

Bringing on Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of “So I did.” A friendly, down-to-earth local celebrity who started working with individuals with disabilities in his teenage years, he had the potential to give our campaign even more depth.

Sending a full media blitz, I created copy for a wide range of assets announcing Cole as a proud partner of Special Olympics Illinois.

Ongoing Creative Work

From social posts and emails to video ad scripts and voiceover recordings, I contributed copy across every campaign touchpoint.

Website Rewrite

To capitalize on the surge of interest from “So I did,” Special Olympics Illinois needed a full website overhaul.

I rewrote the entire thing, working with designers and developers to ensure it was engaging, inclusive, accessible, and easy to navigate.
